Julia Wagemann

Dr. Julia Wagemann is an independent consultant, educator and community builder in the global geospatial and Earth Observation industry. Before that, she worked as a data scientist at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and the European Space Agency.

In 2023, she co-founded thriveGEO empowering individuals and organisations to thrive with geospatial and Earth observation data through training and community.

In 2019, Julia initiated Women+ in Geospatial and has been involved in transitioning it from a grassroots movement to an established social enterprise. By co-founding Women+ in Geospatial she is helping to make the geospatial community more diverse and equal. She currently serves as Director of the Women+ in Geospatial CIC.
