Amos T. Kabo-Bah

Amos Kabo-Bah is an Associate Professor and Dean at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Ghana. He has led the establishment of several centres and initiatives, including the Digital Belt and Road Initiative International Centre of Excellence for Big Data for SDGs, Earth Observation Research and Innovation Centre, and infrastructure like COSMIC-2 Ground Station and Ghana Flux Tower.


Amos has chaired major conferences and served on strategic committees related to sustainable development, climate change, and Earth observations. As a Programme Board Member of the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) and Co-Chair, he advocates for open access to Earth observations, especially for underprivileged nations. With over 70 publications and editorial roles, Amos is committed to co-creating knowledge for local sustainable impacts through Earth Observation in Ghana and Africa.
