Alice Hughes
Alice is an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong, following positions in China, Thailand and Australia. She has authored over 200 papers and was in the top 2% most cited researchers in Ecology in 2023. Her research aims to understand patterns of biodiversity and the drivers of biodiversity change, as well as drivers of spillover risk using diverse data. Her work focuses on the interface between conservation ecology and conservation action. By providing a bridge between science and filling key data and knowledge gaps she hopes to facilitate a transition to a more sustainable, and biosecure future.
