About
Dr Laura Canevari is an accomplished climate change adaptation specialist with over 12 years of experience in climate adaptation and resilience building. She is the CEO and Founder of ITACA, a technical assistance service provider committed to accelerating climate adaptation through Innovation Training and Adaptation in Coastal Areas.
Over the past decade, Laura has supported the design and provision of climate services for the public and private sector, including: the development of vulnerability studies, climate risk assessments and adaptation plans; facilitation of community-based adaptation initiatives; development of decision support tools for financial institutions; analyses of climate resilience in agricultural value chains; supporting private start-ups and Civil Society Organisations accessing climate finance; and has designed and delivered numerous training and capacity building programs for a wide range of audiences.
She holds a PhD in Geography from King’s College London and an MSc from Oxford University.
