Sheryl Rose C. Reyes
Sheryl is a remote sensing and knowledge management expert specialising in land use change dynamics, natural resources management, ecosystem services, and sustainability. She completed her PhD in Sustainability Science from the United Nations University – Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability in Tokyo, Japan and received her M.Sc. degree in remote sensing and B.Sc. degree in geodetic engineering from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Sheryl has extensive research and professional experience in natural resources management and conservation efforts, having contributed significantly to projects aimed at environmental sustainability. She served as the President of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Student Consortium (ISPRS SC) from 2016 - 2022, the representation of the youth in ISPRS. She is dedicated to leveraging her skills to address global challenges and promote sustainable practices through the innovative use of Earth observation and geospatial information technologies, as well as empowering underrepresented voices and highlighting their contributions in these fields.
