Naila Yasmin
Naila Yasmin is a Remote Sensing & GIS Expert at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome, with over twelve years of experience in the field.
Her expertise lies in Satellite Land Monitoring, MRV, Activity Data analysis, fire monitoring, and near real-time observations. She has actively contributed to capacity-building efforts, particularly under the UN-REDD Programme, emphasising the application of remote sensing for sustainable land management being part of FAO. Before joining FAO she worked at National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, as Research Assistant on trace gases monitoring using satellite data, where all research was published in renowned scientific papers.
