Jara Villanueva is a Filipina space and geospatial engineer driven by passion for utilising space and geospatial technologies to create meaningful, real-world impact.
With broad experience in governmental and commercial Earth Observation (EO) space missions, she has contributed across the entire space value chain - from satellite and sensor development and mission planning, to geospatial analysis and solution development focusing on agriculture, forestry, and sustainable development applications.
As the founder of GEO4US, a non-profit initiative, Jara is committed to making space and geospatial technologies more inclusive and accessible, particularly in emerging spacefaring nations and underserved communities globally.
