Abena Boatemaa Asare-Ansah
Abena Boatemaa Asare-Ansah, a Faculty Assistant at NASA Harvest, uses geospatial methods to address food security issues.
She worked as a GIS/RS Analyst with CERSGIS in Ghana and as a summer intern with NASA DEVELOP, using Earth Observations (EO) to analyse weather and crop phenology data. Abena is a Google Developers Expert (Google Earth Engine) volunteer, promoting the use of this technology. She holds a Bachelor's in Geomatic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Master's in Urban Forestry from Southern University and A & M College.
Abena encourages young people to see challenges as opportunities for growth.
